There have been reports of high I/O and load when using recent 4.15.0-xx kernels.
We are placing newer modules for these kernels into beta status until we have more information on this issue.

While no major changes have been made to R1Soft modules, there have been many changes to block I/O layers inside these newer kernels. 

Many of the reports of this issue is in-combination with virtio and KVM/Xen hypervisors.
Other reports and beta tests with other machines show the modules performing as expected.

Reported crashes with our 5.0.0-X beta modules.

R1Soft is continuing to investigate this.

for 18.04 and 20.04 x64 Ubuntu mainline kernels.

Multipath and other log spam in dmesg.
High slabtop totals for kmallocs during extreme I/O loads.
